New Catholic Chaplaincy House since 2003 / 04 academic session...
date added 02/06/2003
revised 20/04/2004

From September 2003 onwards the Catholic Chaplaincy House in Bath has been located at 112 Entry Hill (by Sts Peter & Paul Church), Combe Down, Bath.

The Catholic Chaplaincy House is potentially a focal point for Catholic student life in Bath. It is a contact point and hopefully a welcoming house to students seeking things of common Catholic and social interest. By prior arrangement with the Chaplain, a room is available for use by Catholic student groups and members of Cathsoc at University of Bath and Bath Spa University for meetings among themselves and with the Chaplain. More information from Fr.Bill, OSM.

With thanks for many years of accommodation, hospitality and welcome to students...

date added 02/06/2003
revised 01/03/2004

An era came to an end in August 2003, when the Catholic Chaplaincy House at 5 Harley St closed its doors for the last time.

The Catholic Chaplaincy at Harley Street, just off Julian Road, has been a focal point for many years of Catholic student life in Bath and a very welcoming house to many students who have lived there. Many social events leading to happy memories have taken place there - ranging from Red Dwarf video evenings; to formal dinner parties; to serious and topical talks by eminent speakers.

It is therefore with regret and many memories that Cathsoc students and their friends, past and present, of both University of Bath and Bath Spa University, offer many thanks to the parish of St Mary's (of which it is a part) for their hospitality and welcome to all over the years.
