Sunday Mass: Holy Mass every Sunday at 12 noon at The Ecumenical Chaplaincy Centre, Bath University for students of University of Bath & BSU and friends.

Sunday lunch happens after Holy Mass on Campus most every week, when a group goes down to Bath or on Campus to the have a roast dinner at an economic price. Good food + good company! All welcome to go along together. Ask Cathsoc Committee members each week for venue.

We have a great Committee currently but the time has come when we start asking others to think of taking over from the current generous officers to keep up the lively work. Could you think about it, please and ponder whether you might offer to stand as an officer or look at those around who might be good at it and tell them you think they might be good at being one of the new Committee.

We pray for all the sick known to us, especially among the community of the University and for those who care for them.

THE ROSARY FOR PEACE ON FRIDAYS IN THE ECUMENICAL CHAPLAINCY CENTRE @ 1.15pm is an important reparation for terrible sins against humanity and against God’s creation. People meet in the Prayer Corner with whoever can manage to come. The Rosary is easy to use with explanatory cards on the prayer table lasting just 15-20 MINS - ALL WELCOME. This Gospel prayer can be lay-led and happens whether Fr.Bill is present or not. Even if you can't come every week drop in sometimes. A very simple witness to PEACE, to OUR FAITH AND CAN BE VERY APOSTOLIC its power as prayer for others and especially is well known & one which was much recommended to us by our late Pope John Paul II and our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI. While always welcome to remain in the chapel area of the Ecumenical Chaplaincy Centre during prayer times, it is always very supportive when those not taking part but present in the room observe the convention of respectful silence while others are praying.

Easter Pilgrimages ?

What are you doing at Easter? Need a break from thinking about exams? Want an interesting change from the usual Holy Week services? Celebrate Easter with many young people by walking during Holy Week ! Friday March 30th - Easter Sunday 8th April 2007 (Holy Week & Easter)"It’s a vibrant and meaningful way to spend Easter".

Journey to Lindisfarne / Holy Island with Northern Cross. 5 groups will set off from places in Scotland & the North of England and walk towards Lindisfarne, each group carrying a large wooden cross, to celebrate Easter together on Holy Island. All walkers and levels of fitness welcome & they have reduced rates for children & students. http://www.northerncross.co.uk

Alternatively walk to Walsingham with Student Cross. Similar to Northern Cross, 9 groups of pilgrims journey to the Slipper Chapel near Walsingham to celebrate Easter together. http://www.studentcross.org.uk

Feast of the Seven Holy Founders

of the Servite Order.

is a special feast day or Solemnity of the Seven Friar Saints who were the Holy Founders of the Servite Order of Friars. A special day for the Order to which Fr.Bill, OSM belongs and he asks you to pray especially for his own health, for new vocations to the Servite Order and for the faithful service of all its members.

The Catenian Association Bursary Fund Ltd is a charitable Fund administered on behalf of the Catenian Association in order to fulfil one of the association’s original and core aims, namely : “To advance the interests of young Catholics and to assist them in their choice or pursuit of their career.”

When one door closes for us, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the door that has opened.

Don’t forget the good values that guide your life and be a friend to others. Over the remainder of the term and always as we pass through Life, think of helping others & try to take the good advice to keep happy and safe by being with other good people and helping all you can! Let your light shine forth and do not always look for a reward for what you do here! Stand for your own Catholic values and don’t be swayed in the wrong way by others.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK

World Day of the Sick falls on Sunday 11^th.Feb – usually the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes – and offers a great opportunity to affirm all health-care workers and voluntary carers, as well as reflecting on and celebrating Christ’s Healing Ministry. This beautiful Sacrament of strengthening and reconciliation for those burdened by illness and the fragility of years is something for us to value in our lives. Though for many it has associated itself only with the last stages of the journey of life, it is very much a sacrament for the living and when we have serious health burdens to carry, we do well and wisely to avail ourselves of the Sacrament.

ON ASKING FOR GOD'S HELP

Sometimes we are full of lofty ideas of what we are capable of in our plans for the future. Then crash, we face failure. What went wrong when we put all our concentrated endeavours into our project? Perhaps we forgot to do the most important thing of all - to ask God for His help. Without it, it would be futile to embark on any scheme, no matter how carefully planned.

Judgement is whispering into the ear of a merciful and compassionate God the story of my life which I had never been able to tell.
