“There were four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and everybody was asked to do it. Everybody was sure somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realised that Everybody couldn’t do it. It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody, when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.”
That should be clear then!

The following letter came that might interest some of you.
Dear Fr.Bill,
You may recall that I wrote to you towards the end of last year to advise you of opportunities for Catholic students to undertake a worthwhile and rewarding post-graduation gap year at SPEC, part of the Catholic Diocese of Westminster’s ministry to children and young people. I mentioned in my letter that we would be launching a new website and I am pleased to say that the new site is now live at www.spec.org.uk. The site packed with information about SPEC and our mission. It also has a section dedicated to potential volunteers and I would strongly recommend it as a source of information for any students who might be considering a post-graduation gap year working with children or young people in a Catholic environment. I would be very grateful if you could encourage any potentially interested students to visit our site.

CATHSOC COMMITTEE?
We have a great Committee currently but the time is edging up when we start interesting those who will take over from the current generous officers and keep up the lively work. Could you think about it, please and ponder whether you might offer to stand as an officer or look at those around who might be good at it and tell them you think they might be good at being one of the new Committee.

The annual Catholic Student Forum will be held at Southwell House, Swiss Cottage, London next w/e the 9th – 11th Feb 2007.
The CSF has been held each year for the past three years in order to provide Catholic students in Higher Education with the chance to come together to share, express and explore their faith wherever they are on their faith journey. The forum allows students to do this in a relaxed, mutually supportive environment at a national level and this message is sent to encourage Chaplains to advertise this and for students to attend the event.
Our Catholic Chaplaincy has been among Chaplaincies which have been able to send and support students at this event in the past and there is a warm invitation to take part in a gathering that continues to strengthen both student and Chaplaincy networks each year.
