Cllr.Roger Symonds, the newly installed Mayor of Bath and Mayoress of Bath joined Fr.Bill, OSM (Catholic Chaplain at University of Bath and Bath Spa University College (BSUC)) at Prior Park as guests of honour along with many guests from the various Educational institutions of Bath served by Catholic Chaplaincy for the Fifth Annual Summer Reception hosted by Fr.Bill, OSM.

The beautiful setting of Prior Park College on a glorious sunny evening was due to the kindness of the Headmaster, Dr.Mercer and the Chairman & Governors of the College.

Many students who came were thrilled at the chance to see the fine house which was once the home of Ralph Allen and to view the Palladian Bridge set below the Portico - one of three such bridges in England, the others being at Wilton and Stowe School.

The Catholic Chaplaincy Reception is an annual opportunity for the Chaplain, Fr.Bill OSM to thank all those colleagues and friends who support his work among the students of the academic community of Bath. The students gathered with the Mayor and Fr.Bill in the photo are mainly from Cathsoc, which was nominated the most improved of the Student Union (SU) societies at the University of Bath in 2004.
